NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2012

Maidstone Borough Council is inviting all residents and businesses in the borough to share their views on the proposed Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) as part of a four-week consultation between 31st March to 27th April 2025

How to view the documents: During the consultation period, the proposed HMOSPD,the Consultation Statement, survey, and other supporting materials will be available on the Council’s webpage at: https://localplan.maidstone.gov.uk/home/further-guidance

The SPD and Consultation Statement will also be available for inspection at the following locations:

Period for responses: The period for submitting comments on the HMOSPD will be from 9.30am on 31st March to 11:59pm on 27th April 2025.Responsesmust be received by Maidstone Borough Council within this period and may not be accepted outside of this period.

Submitting responses: People can share their views through the Let’s Talk Maidstone platform at: https://LetsTalkMaidstone.uk.engagementhq.com/houses-in-multiple-occupation-supplementary-planning-document

Responses may also be made by post using response forms on the HMO SPD web page, or in writing using a paper response form. They should be sent to:

A paper response form can also be requested by phoning 01622 602000. Posted response forms must be received by Maidstone Borough Council within the stated consultation period set out above.
