NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15
Notice of proposed development/works at (a) E H Booth Ltd, Halstead Lane, Barrowford. 25/0143/VAR Variation of Condition: Variation of Condition: Vary Condition 22 (Opening hours) of Planning Permission 23/0720/VAR. The proposal is a Major Development. The proposal is within the Barrowford Conservation Area. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. (b) 6 Castle View, Barnoldswick. 25/0146/FUL Full: Change of use of lower ground floor from a domestic garage (Use Class C3) to a hair salon (Use Class E) and the replacement of existing roller shutter garage door to timber door with glazed side panels. The proposal is within the Barnoldswick Conservation Area. (c) Land to the South of Halifax Road, Nelson. 25/0149/FUL Full (Major): Town & Country Planning General Regulations 1992 – Regulation 3 – Change of use of land to cemetery; including car parking, maintenance area and landscaping. The proposal is a Major Development. A Public Right of Way is adjacent to the proposal. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 4 April 2025; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (
under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
