THE AFFINITY WATER LIMITED (KINGSDOWN NITRATE REMOVAL PLANT) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2025COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AND RIGHTS

Notice is hereby given that Affinity Water Limited has made The Affinity Water Limited (Kingsdown Nitrate Removal Plant) Compulsory Purchase Order 2025 under Section 155 of the Water Industry Act 1991.

It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise Affinity Water Limited to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of and in connection with the carrying out of its functions as a water undertaker specifically for the construction of a nitrate removal plant at the Order Land located at Kingsdown WTW, Dover, Kent.

A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at Affinity Water Offices, Tamblin Way, Hatfield AL10 9EZ.Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Water Programme, Seacole Building, 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF before 10 April 2025 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interests in the land.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE ACQUIRED• 4,856.23 square metres of land off Ringwould Road, Kingsdown, Dover, CT14 8DL, Kent;
