ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT (30MPH)

TRO8168 Wrexham Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit on the following length of road in Chester to enable safety of road users whilst within the roadworks to be carried out by Redrow Homes. The effect of the order is to temporarily reduce the speed limit from 50mph to 30mph.

A483 Wrexham Road, Marlston Cum Lache, from a point 190 metres south of its junction with Herons Way to its northerly junction with Herons Way, a distance of approximately 715 metres.

Access Road to Wrexham Road Park and Ride, Marlston Cum Lache, from its junction with A483 Wrexham Road from a distance of 30 metres in a north-westerly direction.

Herons Way, Eccleston (southerly junction), from its junction with A483 Wrexham Road for a distance of 30 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Herons Way, Eccleston (northerly junction), from its junction with A483 Wrexham Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works or repair and like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 10th March 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 21 weeks to complete.

TRO8216 Wrexham Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit on the following length of road in Chester to improve the safety of road users using the highway. The effect of the order is to temporarily reduce the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph.

A483 Wrexham Road, Chester, from a point 400 metres south of Overleigh Roundabout to the northerly junction of Herons Way.

The Order will come into force on 14th March 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the said safety concerns are resolved whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TRO19041 Whitby Lane in Backford, Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Saughall & Mollington Ward to enable A41/A5032 Backford Junction & Signals Improvements works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

A5032 Whitby Lane: 24-hour ROAD CLOSURE from its junction with the A41 Liverpool Road for approximately 250m.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via B5032 Whitby Lane, Strawberry Way West, Backford Cross Roundabout, A41 Liverpool Road (and vice versa).
