Rowley Lane - Appeal for Development of a Film and Television Production Studio

NOTICE UNDER THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2017 (as amended).

Submission of Further Information in respect of the Environmental Statement. Appeal by Legal and General Investment Management and Sky Studios Limited.

Legal and General Investment Management and Sky Studios Limited have appealed against the refusal of Planning Application ref. 22/1526/FULEI by Hertsmere Borough Council for development of a film and television production studio (Use Class E(g)(iii)) with ancillary floorspace, backlot, new access arrangements, car parking, landscaping, infrastructure and associated works. The application which was submitted to the Council in September 2022 was refused by Hertsmere Borough Council on 19th April 2024.

An appeal against the refusal was lodged on 17th October 2024 (ref. APP/N1920/W/24/3354178).

A Public Inquiry is scheduled to begin on 25th March 2025.

The Appellants are submitting further information in relation to the Environmental Statement previously submitted as part of the original application. The further information comprises Sky Studios Elstree North Appeal Further Environmental Information (February 2025). A copy of this information is available to view on a website maintained by Hertsmere Borough Council, which is available at:
