What is planned?

Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (Regulations 5 (2) (b))
Pre-Application Public Information Event

Proposal: Phase 2 of Gobbins Cliff Path tourist attraction including development of a new cliff-top ‘Welcome Hub’ and cliff-side ‘Ingress Structure’, walkway and bridge; upgrades to existing cliff-top path network; extension to car park and improvements to facilities at the existing visitor centre.
Location: Lands located at the Gobbins Visitor Centre, 66 Middle Road, Ballystrudder, Larne BT40 3SL and lands adjacent to the Gobbins Footpath, Gobbins Road, Islandmagee.  
A Public Information Event will take place on Thursday 27th February 2025, from 3-7pm at The Gobbins Visitor Centre, Middle Road, Islandmagee, Northern Ireland, BT40 3SL.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council. Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, normal neighbourhood notification and publicity will be undertaken, and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
