Footpath 19 Ardleigh
The above order, made on 30 January 2025, will divert a part length of Footpath 19 in the parish of Ardleigh, in the District of Tendring under Essex County Council planning application ESS/07/20/TEN which made under Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 for the continuing of infilling and working of an inert waste landfill site, construction of a public water storage reservoir and the creation and rerouting of footpaths as described in the completed S106 Agreement dated 11 March 2010.
This being subject to a Deed of Variation in relation to the planning application ESS/07/20/TEN which is seeking to vary the internal gradient of the route and Essex County Council is satisfied if a diversion would be necessary to authorise the diversion in order to enable the development to be carried out.
A part length of Footpath 19 Ardleigh shows by a bold black continuous line on the order map starting from point A at grid reference 620626,229946 running in a north easterly then south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 242 metres to point B at grid reference 620922,229942 then running in generally north easterly direction for a final distance of approximately 311 metres to point C at grid reference 60312,229542 where it continues unaffected. The alternative route will be 2 metres in width commencing at the aforementioned point A running in a south easterly then northerly then north westerly direction around the perimeter edge of the reservoir for a total distance of approximately 1,813 metres to the aforementioned point C where it continues unaffected.
Copies of the order and order map can be requested to be posted or viewed by emailing publicpathorders@essexhighways.org or by arranging a suitable time to inspect the documents quoting the Order title. Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am-4.30pm Mon-Fri at Essex County Council, County Hall, Block mark reception, Market Road, Chelmsford or as required following the current social distancing restrictions. Copies of the order and order map are available on www.essexhighways.org/ and have also been sent to Tendring District Council and Ardleigh Parish Council.
Any representations or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Robert Lee, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, Seax House, 2nd Floor, Victoria Road South, Chelmsford CM1 1QH not later than 12:00pm (noon) on 13 March 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent to the Secretary of State. Any such representation or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the Order that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.
