What is planned?

THE TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2013 (AS AMENDED)

Notice under regulation 7(2)(b) - Pre-application consultation by the prospective applicant: George Watson’s College give notice of their intention to consult on the proposed development of George Watson’s College Playing Fields, Myreside Road, Edinburgh, EH10 5DB for the installation of 2 artificial grass sports pitches and associated works and infrastructure.

Two in-person public exhibitions will be held at Myreside Pavillion, 79 Myreside Road, Edinburgh EH10 5DB between the hours of 14:30-18:30 on 10 February 2025 and 14:30- 18:30 on 6 March 2025 respectively, where members of the Project Team will be available to answer questions, interact with the local community and receive feedback on the proposals.

In addition, information on the proposed development will be accessible online via a public consultation website. The consultation will be held at https://www.gwc.org.uk/about-us/sportsdevelopment, and be viewable, and open for questions and comments between 10 February 2025 (at 9am) and 27 March 2025 (at 5:30pm).

Persons wishing to make comments on the proposal should do so by 27 March 2025 either in-person at the abovementioned exhibitions or via the provided contact details. Comments can also be accepted via post to Campus Developments, George Watson's College, Colinton Road, Edinburgh, EH10 5EG.

Please note, comments on the proposal during this pre-application consultation are to the prospective applicant and not a formal representation to City of Edinburgh Council. If a planning application is subsequently submitted then you will have the opportunity to make formal representations directly to City of Edinburgh Council during the statutory notification period.
