What is planned?

THE NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL, PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER, TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257,PUBLIC FOOTPATH 15.96/26 HIGH, AUSTBY FARM,NESFIELD WITH LANGBAR DIVERSION ORDER 2024.

The above Order was confirmed on 15/01/25 under section 257 Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert the following public footpath: Part of Public Footpath 15.96/26 commencing at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference SE0987 4948 proceeding generally southeastwards for 230 metres approximately to OSGR SE1008 4941, its junction with Footpath 15.96/27. The newly diverted Footpath 15.96/26 commences at OSGR SE0987 4948, progressing eastwards for 95 metres approximately through a pedestrian gate at OSGR SE0995 4948 and to the north of a barn to OSGR SE0996 4948, then continues generally south-eastwards for 130 metres approximately on a track to OSGR SE1007 4942, then generally southwards for 20 metres to OSGR SE1008 4942 its junction with Footpath 15.96/27; a length of 245 metres approximately. The surface shall be metalled and the footpath will have a width of between 1.85 and 2 metres as described in the Order. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in Reception at Civic Centre, St Luke’s Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 2AE; or viewed on the Council’s website at:
https://public.northyorks.gov.uk/online-applications/ - Reference number 21/03521/PROW. Copies of the order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost. The Order comes into force on the date on which The North Yorkshire Council certificates that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice, as provided by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
