Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is planned?

Dover

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Archery Square & King Street, Walmer, CT14 7JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Archery Square & King Street, Walmer, on or after 15th February 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

Archery Square will be closed from the junction of A258 Dover Road to opposite number 10, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, Archery Square, Liverpool Road and Archery Square.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Archery Square, Liverpool Road, Cambridge Road and A258 Dover Road.

King Street will be closed at the junction of A258 Dover Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A258 Dover Road, Cambridge Road, Liverpool Road and King Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via King Street, Liverpool Road, Archery Square and A258 Dover Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ash Road, Sandwich, CT13 9JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow rail inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ash Road, Sandwich, on or after 2nd February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Ash Road, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass and Ash Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street and Ash Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, CT15 6DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 28 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of St Margarets Road to outside Isipingo, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Beaconsfield Road, Deal, CT14 7AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beaconsfield Road, Deal, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Northcote Road and Victoria Road. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Victoria Road, Sondes Road, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street and Blenheim Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Chapel Lane, St Margarets At Cliffe, CT15 6BF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, St Margarets At Cliffe, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Droveway Gardens and Sea Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Lane, Sea Street, High Street, Cripps Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Chapel Road, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Road, Tilmanstone, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Lower Dane Cottage to outside Upper Dane Cottage, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Road, Dover Road, Barville Road, Pike Road, School Road, Upper Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lower Street, Tilmanstone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Street, Tilmanstone, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Dover Road for approximately 100m in a Southwesterly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dover Road, Chapel Road, Lower Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lydia Road, Deal, CT14 9LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lydia Road, Deal, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Cross Road and Astrid Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cross Road, St Richards Road, Lydia Road, Astrid Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

New Street, Ash, CT3 2BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Ash, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sandwich Road and Cherry Garden Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, Marshborough Road, Foxborough Hill, Statenborough Lane, Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A257 Ash Bypass, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Oswald Road, Dover, CT17 0TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oswald Road, Dover, on or after 28th January 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite number 11, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Oswald Road, St Radigunds Road, Magdala Road, Coombe Valley Road, A256 London Road and Eric Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Oswald Road, Bunkers Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Buckland Avenue, Lorne Road, A256 London Road and St Radigunds Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandwich Road, Nonington, CT15 4HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandwich Road, Nonington, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Lane and Nonington Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Mill Top, C230 Un-named Road From Thornton Road To Sandwich Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
