TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257
AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14

AMBER VALLEY (FOOTPATH NO.16 - PARISH OF SOMERCOTES)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023
On 29th of November 2024 Amber Valley Borough Council confirmed the above order
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from Point A (Grid Reference SK42905 54163) proceeding in a north east by east direction to Point B (Grid Reference SK43001 54214) for a distance of 109 metres or thereabouts. Thereafter creating an alternative footpath from Point A (Grid Reference SK42905 54163) proceeding in a east northeast direction to Point C (Grid Reference SK42922 54171) for a distance of 19 metres or thereabouts. Continuing from Point C (Grid Reference SK42922 54171) approximately east south east turning north west turning east south east turning generally north to Point D (Grid Reference SK42955 54187) for a distance of 100 metres or thereabouts. Thereafter from Point D (Grid Reference SK42958 54186) proceeding in a eastward direction to Point E (Grid Reference SK43012 54186) for a distance of 53 metres or thereabouts. Then continuing from Point E (Grid Reference SK43012 54186) proceeding in a northerly direction to Point F (Grid Reference SK43010 54194) for a distance of 9 metres or thereabouts. Thereafter from Point F (Grid Reference SK43009 54195) proceeding in north northwest direction to Point B (Grid Reference SK 43001 54214) for a distance of 21 metres or thereabouts as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and order map may be seen free of charge at Main Reception, Town Hall, Ripley between 9 am to 4.30 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and between 10am to 4.30pm on Wednesdays (except Bank Holidays).
Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Chief Executive, Amber Valley Borough Council, Town Hall, Ripley, Derbyshire DE5 3XE or by e-mail to
lawandassets@ambervalley.gov.uk not later than 27 February 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
This order comes into force on the date on which Amber Valley Borough Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of the Schedule 14 to that Act.
