I Give Notice That the following application is being made to the Council of the Borough of North Tyneside: 

2 Stanwick Street Tynemouth – APPLICATION NO: 24/01577/FULH
Mr & Mrs Anthony & Caroline Silva Pita is applying for planning permission for Single storey rear extension. 
It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.

32 Simpson Street Cullercoats – APPLICATION NO: 24/01608/FULH
Mr Richard Moat is applying for planning permission for Proposed rear dormer.

Proposed enlargement of front dormer and rooflight. French doors to rear elevation render to external walls at the rear. 

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.

3 Kensington Gardens Whitley Bay – APPLICATION NO: 24/01679/FULH
Mr James Harper is applying for planning permission for Ground floor single storey extension to rear with flat roof and veranda, flat roof dormer to rear (retrospective).

Existing front and rear boundary wall to be removed and replaced to match existing.

Alterations to existing windows and doors and render to existing brickwork at rear.

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.

As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage. 

Tennis Courts At Cullercoats Tennis Club Beverley Gardens – APPLICATION NO: 24/01265/FUL

Cullercoats Lawn Tennis Club is applying for planning permission for Replacement of existing 36 floodlight lights with 18 new LED floodlight lights.

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.


14 Percy Park Road Tynemouth – APPLICATION NO: 24/01496/FUL
Crust Social is applying for planning permission for Retain upper shopfront and make good rotten woodwork and repaint in Anthracite Grey. Remove previous signage and replace with new signage, painted onto upper shopfront, colour white.

Make good awnings with new canvas colour dark green. Existing lights to be retained and upgraded/painted anthracite grey. 

Existing Exterior seating area to have new plant boxes fitted, same location as existing. Install opening aluminium doors to front elevation ground floor level.

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.


St Johns Church Killingworth Village Killingworth – APPLICATION NO: 24/01635/FUL

St John The Evangelist Church is applying for planning permission for Construction of a new porch on the north facade of the church to form level access and accessible wc along with a single standard wc. 

A new opening will be created in the existing church wall, utilising an existing stone arch, and the small stained glass window that will need to be removed will be re-inserted into the east wall of the new porch.

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area. The property is a listed building


The Black Bull Front Street Benton – APPLICATION NO: 24/01660/FUL
Greene King is applying for planning permission for New resin surfacing to existing beer garden tarmac area and side elevation, extend picket fence to side elevation to match existing, New tall metal posts to hold festoon lighting to side elevation, raise existing timber posts. Redecorate building colours. Re-mark car park. 

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.


The Gibraltar Rock East Street Tynemouth – APPLICATION NO: 24/01491/FUL
Mr Nigel Marcantonio is applying for planning permission for Change of use from first floor flat to kitchen and dining areas, relocation of fire escape staircase to southern side of building, installation of double fire escape doors to south elevation, installation of bi fold doors and window to eastern elevation, alteration of access/entrance porch to northern elevation. 

Installation of extract system associated with new first floor kitchen, general internal alterations refit and refurbishment works to entire building.

It is considered that the development proposed may affect the character or appearance of a Conservation Area.

Happy Homes Wallsend Ltd is applying for planning permission for Proposed construction of 10no. residential dwellings including associated infrastructure on vacant site utilising access from Meadow Road.

The application is being advertised as it involves major development.


Queen Alexandra College Queen Alexandra Road West North Shields – APPLICATION NO: 24/01627/FULM

Lovell Homes is applying for planning permission for Redevelopment of former Tynemet College site, including demolition of modern college buildings and construction of 47no. Dwellings and associated hard and soft landscaping works.

The application is being advertised as it involves major development & it does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area to which the land to which the application relates is situated.


Land East Of 16 Front Street, Annitsford – APPLICATION NO: 24/01518/FUL
Tanaff Ltd is applying for planning permission for Erection of 9no. dwellings, access, landscaping and SuDS.

The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area to which the land to which the application relates is situated The submitted plans and associated documents are available to view on the Council’s Planning web site at www.northtyneside.gov.uk or at our Quadrant West Offices between 0830-1300 Mon & Fri and 1300-1700 Wed.
