24/02504/FUL - 52 Belle Vue Park West Sunderland SR2 7SB. Mr Sam Thurlbeck is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Erection of two storey side extension and first floor above existing garage. Single storey extension to rear. As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at the appeal stage.
24/01404/FUL - Penshaw Hill Cottage Chester Road Penshaw Sunderland DH4 7LB. Green Property Developments Ltd is applying to the Local Planning Authority for planning permission for: Change of use from horse menage (Use Class Sui Generis) to Café (Use Class E(b)) comprising erection of single storey building with associated vehicle parking. (Amended description agreed 20.12.2024). The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan. This relates to a proposal which affects the setting of Penshaw Monument which is included in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest.
24/02502/FUL - Argus Powerbend Pennywell Industrial Estate Sunderland SR4 9EN. Argus Powerbend is applying to the Local Planning Authority for: Proposed construction of new factory building with associated loading bay and canopy structure, demolition of single storey canteen building to front of existing factory building 1, two storey infill construction between existing factory buildings 1 and 2, and associated works to facilitate one-way system, re-location of parking bays and new cycle provision.

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
24/02501/VAR – Land At Former Cherry Knowle Hospital Burdon Lane / Stockton Road Ryhope Sunderland SR2 0NB. Homes England is applying to the Local Planning Authority for planning permission for: Variation of Conditions 26 (archaeology excavation and recording) and 27 (archaeological excavation report in form for publication in a journal) attached to permission Ref: 20/00562/VAR (Variation of Condition 5 (Approved Plans) attached to 18/02173/VA4 to allow plot substitution for new house type range on 25no plots - Plots 318, 327, 326, 325, 332, 333, 337, 338, 302, 303, 345, 346, 353, 354, 389, 388, 371, 344, 380, 379, 374, 377, 387, 384, and 391) to amend the archaeology conditions including splitting Condition 26 into two conditions to better facilitate the delivery of the site.
The hybrid application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The proposal does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan and also affects the setting of Ryhope Pumping Station which is include in the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural and Historic Interest.
