What is planned?

NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

SOUTH DERBYSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
ROSLISTON PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 5 PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

The above Order was made on 5 December 2024. The effect of the Order will be to divert Public Footpath Order Rosliston FP5 as follows:

The sections of footpath to be diverted run from Point 

A at Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 25007 16636) in a generally East South Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 45 metres to point B on the plan at Grid Reference SK 25049 16621 then continuing in a generally South Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 65 metres to point C on the plan at Grid Reference SK 25095 16583 then continuing in a generally East South Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 30 metres to point D on the plan at Grid Reference SK 25130 16579.

The alternative lengths of path will extend from the point marked A on the plan, situated at Grid Reference SK 25007 16636 in a generally South Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres to point E on the plan, situated at Grid Reference SK 25080 16574 which will have a width of 2.5 metres, then continuing in a generally North Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres to point F on the plan at Grid Reference SK 25085 16577 which will have a width of 4.0 metres, then continuing in a generally Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 40 metres to point D on the plan at Grid Reference SK 25130 16579 which will have a width of 2.5 metres.

A copy of the Order and the order map may be seen free of charge at South Derbyshire District Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AH from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £0.50.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing to the Head of Planning and Strategic Housing, South Derbyshire District Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AH or by emailing planning@southderbyshire.gov.uk not later than 17 January 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, South Derbyshire District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If representations or objections are made, and not withdrawn, the Order will be sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation. 

Any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be shared with the Secretary of State, and with the applicant. The applicant or Council may make an application to the Secretary of State for an award as to costs incurred, which may be payable by the objector(s).
