NOTICE PUBLICISING A STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

Notice is hereby given that SEGRO Properties Limited of 1 New Burlington Place, London W1S 2HR (the “Applicant”) proposes to apply to the Planning Inspectorate under section 37 of the Planning Act 2008 for a development consent order and simultaneously SEGRO (EMG) Limited proposes to apply under section 153 and Schedule 6 of the Planning Act 2008 for a material change order to authorise the construction, operation and maintenance of a second phase to the existing SEGRO Logistics East Midlands Gateway comprising new warehousing and manufacturing employment park, together with highway works, located south of East Midlands Airport and the A453 and west of the M1 Motorway (the “Application”).

As part of the proposals the Applicant has a duty to consult the local community pursuant to section 47 of The Planning Act 2008. The Applicant has produced a Statement of Community Consultation (“SOCC”) for this purpose. The SOCC sets out details of how the Applicant proposes to consult people living in the vicinity of the land about the Application.

The purpose of this notice is to inform interested persons and members of the local community that the SOCC can be inspected free of charge in the following locations. 1) North West Leicestershire District Council, Customer Centre, Belvoir Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 3XF (Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday 09.00-17.00, Thursday 09.00-16.00, Saturday / Sunday closed). 2) Castle Donington Library, 101 Bondgate, Castle Donington, Derbyshire DE74 2LJ (Monday 10.00-16.00, Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday 10.00-14.00, Friday 10.00-16.00, Saturday 10.00-13.00, Sunday closed).

The Application is considered to require an Environmental Impact Assessment and therefore the Application will be accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The SOCC sets out how the Applicant intends to publicise and consult on the Preliminary Environmental Information which will inform the final Environmental Statement.
