We, Crockahenny Wind Farm Designated Activity Company intend to apply to Donegal County Council for planning permission to construct two Enercon E82 wind turbines within the lands of the Crockahenny wind farm. The proposed development will consist of a 10-year permission for the proposed two wind turbines and all associated works.



The proposed development will include two wind turbines with internal transformers that will have an overall blade tip height of up to 119metres; Site works will include the construction of wind turbine foundations, turbine hardstandings and assembly areas, and associated drainage; two extensions of existing access tracks within the site (of 21m and 29m in length); installation of underground electrical cable in existing electrical ducts and all associated site development and ancillary works. The proposed wind turbines will connect to the existing substation and will avail of the existing tracks and entrance.



The proposed development will have a 30 year operational life from the date of commissioning of the proposed two turbines.



The proposed development is located at Crockahenny Townland, Leamacrossan Hill, Inishowen, Co. Donegal.



The application is accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement. The planning application and the Natura Impact Statement (NIS) may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of the planning authority during its public opening hours.



A submission or observation in relation to the application and the Natura Impact Statement (NIS) may be made in writing to the planning authority on payment of the prescribed fee, €20, within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the authority of the application and the Natura Impact Statement (NIS), and such submissions or observations will be considered by the planning authority in making a decision on the application. The planning authority may grant permission subject to or without conditions or may refuse to grant permission
