What is planned?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401003 ROAD FROM LECHLADE ROAD TO THE CLOCK (SOUTHROP PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401003 Road from Lechlade Road to The Clock, from outside the property known as ‘Wadham House’ to outside the property known as ‘Fyfield Manor’ for a distance of approximately 52 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water repair works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 18th December 2024 until 20th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

PROPOSED STOPPING UP OF PART OF UNCLASSIFIED ROAD NUMBER 50881, LAND ADJACENT TO TALLAT STEPS, COLN ST DENNIS, CHELTENHAM

NOTICE is hereby given that an application will be made to the Magistrates’ sitting at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on the 20th January 2025 at 10am for an Order to stop up all public highway rights over the area of land described in the Schedule hereto.

Any representations or objections about this application can either be put in writing addressed to the Listing Clerk, HMCTS Gloucestershire, PO Box 9051, Gloucester, GL1 2XG or the Assistant Director of Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG (please quote reference 82427) or can be presented verbally at the hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court, Cheltenham Courthouse, 50-60 St George’s Road, Cheltenham, GL50 3PF.

A plan illustrating the road which is the subject of the application may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at the offices of Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Gloucester, GL1 2TG (please quote reference 82427) and in Cotswold District Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 1PX (please quote reference 82427).

Description of Highway to be Stopped Up

The land subject to the Stopping-up is as shown crosshatched on drawing number TA253. It currently forms part of unclassified highway number 50881. On the ground, the area currently comprises part of the front garden of Tallat Steps, Coln St Dennis and is situated behind a wall. It is irregular in shape and is approximately 6 metres wide from North to South, and approximately 5 metres in length from East to West, forming a total area of approximately 24 square metres.

A Notice will be displayed at either end of the affected highway 28 days before the date on which this application is made to the Magistrates’ Court.
