What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated.

Application No: ZA24/26364/OTHERS Proposal: Prior approval notification for proposed conversion of bank premises Class E to form mixed use ground floor retail unit Class E and flatted dwelling Class C3 to upper floors for Mrs Elizabeth Lister Location: Former Barclays Bank Building 18 Main Street High Bentham LA2 7HL Reason: Prior Notification for Change of Use.

Application No: ZA24/26548/LBC Proposal: Strip out of the roof, replacement of underlay with breathable membrane, new battens and Welsh slates re-laid reusing existing slates where possible; repairs and lining the gutters; loft insulation added; general repairs to copings, flashings etc for Equorium Property Company Ltd Location: Former Rackhams/House Of Fraser 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41 High Street Skipton North Yorkshire BD23 1DU Reason: Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/26361/FUL Proposal: Cross boundary application for conversion of existing farm buildings to 1 no. dwelling for Mr White Location: Borks Hill Sour Dale Lane Long Preston Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/26510/FULMAJ Proposal: Construction of 21 dwellings with onsite open space provision, off-street car parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure for Simpson Homes Location: Land Off Colne Road Glusburn BD20 8PJ Reason: Is a Major Development proposal.

Application No: ZA24/26513/FUL Proposal: Proposed change of use of existing stables to dwelling for Mr & Mrs Procter Location: Long Syke Edge Farm Cowling Hill Lane Cowling BD22 0LL Reason: Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/26454/FUL Proposal: Proposal for the installation of four rapid electric vehicle charging stations and ancillary equipment within the car park of Booths, Settle, including one fully accessible EV charging bay (resubmission of application ref. ZA24/25949/FUL) for InstaVolt Ltd Location: E H Booth And Co Ltd New Road Sowarth Industrial Estate Settle Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area. The applications are available to view and for comment online at publicaccess.cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications/ or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 5th January 2025.
