Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024
– Thorpe Road and Midland Road Ref: 25-209
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below:

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order
will come into force on the 09/12/2024 and will continue until the patching works have been completed or until the 08/12/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Victoria Street Footway, Millfield, Peterborough – 2024 Ref: 25-195
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Victoria Street Footway, Millfield, as lies between Alma Road and St Martins Street. The Council is satisfied that
pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is via: Alma Road, Lincoln Road,
St Martins Street and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 10/12/2024 and will continue until the new telecoms cabinet installation works have been completed or until the 09/06/2025, whichever is the earlier. (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 2024 Ref: 25-210
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fitzwilliam Street, adjacent to 42 Park Road.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: No alternative available.
This notice is made in the interest of new gas service works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 02/12/2024.
The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special
