What is planned?

Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and The Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (Regulation 5(2)(b)) (as amended)

PRE-APPLICATION COMMUNITY CONSULTATION EVENT

Proposal: Demolition of existing discount supermarket, erection of replacement discount supermarket and drive through café, provision of accesses, landscaping and associated site works (larger supermarket than approved under LA02/2022/1008/F and relocation of approved drive through café).

Location: Lidl, 75D Belfast Road, Carrickfergus, BT38 8BY and adjoining vacant lands to the immediate north-east.

A public consultation event in relation to the above proposal will take place on 10th December 2024 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the existing Lidl store, 75D Belfast Road, Carrickfergus, BT38 8BY. Illustrative drawings of the proposal will be on display and interested parties will be able to discuss the proposal with the project team and provide comments.

Comments on the proposal can be made at the public consultation event or by contacting MBA Planning (same contact information as above). Comments should be received no later than 23rd December 2024.

This notice does not relate to a planning application. Comments should not be made to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council. Any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, publicity will be undertaken at that time and there will be an opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
