Proposed Development at Oxted Quarry, Chalkpit Lane, Oxted, Surrey RH8 0QW
Southern Gravel Limited submitted an application (Ref: TA/2023/1135) to Surrey County Council on 16 August 2023 for Cessation of winning and working of minerals and importation of waste. A revised scheme of restoration to create a natural parkland with public access, footpaths and ecological habitat areas and erection of 75 dwellings, a proportion of which would be affordable housing, and associated hard and soft landscaping and access, provision of a field study centre, restoration of the historic lime kilns, and works to Chalkpit Lane including traffic calming and a new footway link to Oxted.
Further information in relation to the planning application and further environmental information relating to the environmental statement (ES) in response to a formal request under Regulation 25 and other environmental information not in response to a formal request under Regulation 25 has been submitted by the applicant.
The further and other environmental information relating to the ES comprises: Information in the Cover Letter from Temple Group on Regulation 25 dated 4 September 2024 including an update to Chapter 17. Mitigation measures and Residual Effects, and the 19 attached documents as listed in the letter relating to ES Volume 2: Chapter 7. Traffic and Transport, Chapter 8. Air Quality, Chapter 9. Noise and Vibration, Chapter 10. Built Heritage, Chapter 11. Ecology, Chapter 12. Water Resources, Chapter 13. Land Stability, Chapter 14. Ground Conditions, Land Quality and Soils, Chapter 15. Landscape and Visual Impact; and ES Volume 3 Appendix E.1 Contaminated Land.
The further amending/amplifying information relating to the planning application comprises:
NH Response 2 1108041 Hurlstone Partnership letter to Agent dated 21/02/2024 (relating to traffic and transport matters) and information in the Cover Letter from Temple Group on Regulation 25 dated 4 September 2024 and attached documents listed in the letter relating to matters including water resources and drainage, landform, restoration and soils, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), trees and landscaping, affordable housing, secure by design, viability and draft Section 106 legal agreement – Heads of Terms.
