What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015, AS AMENDED
DIRECTION MADE UNDER ARTICLE 4(1) TO WHICH PARAGRAPH 2 OF SCHEDULE 3 APPLIES

Trafford Borough Council gives notice that the Council have made a Direction under Article 4(1) of the said Order and, in accordance with Paragraph 2(6) of Schedule 3, shall remain in force until 28th February 2025 (being six months from the date of this direction) and shall then expire unless it has been confirmed by the appropriate Local Planning Authority in accordance with Paragraph 7 of Schedule 3 before the end of the six month period.

The Direction was made by the Council on 29th August 2024 and comes into effect on 30th August 2024.

The Direction relates to any building operation consisting of demolition of a building being development comprised within Classes B and C of Part 11 of Schedule 2 to the said Order. The Direction applies to land at 273 Davyhulme Road, Davyhulme, Manchester M41 8GA edged red on the plan attached to the Direction (“the Land”). The effect of the Direction is that planning permission will be required for any building operation consisting of demolition of a building on the Land.

A copy of the direction and map defining the land to which it relates may be inspected at Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Rd, Old Trafford, Stretford, Manchester M32 0TH between the hours of 9am and 5pm on weekdays.

Representations concerning the Direction can be made in writing to the Head of Planning at the address given above between 21st November and 12th December being a period of at least 21 days from this date.
