What is planned?

LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 MAJOR APPLICATIONS UNDER ARTICLE 15(4)) OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING(DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) ORDER 2015 AND OTHER SIGNIFICANT APPLICATIONS.

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is considering the following applications:

Montgomery Square, Montgomery Street & Water Street, London PA/24/00894

Removal of existing permanent structures. Alterations to existing landscaping and provision of hard and soft landscaping, public realm improvements, a flexible event space, retail pavilion (use class E) and all associated works and structures. Provision of road amendments to Upper Bank Street and Montgomery Street and pedestrian friendly public realm and layout enhancements to Water Street.

Clare House, 10 Hawthorn Avenue, London and Playground on Hawthorn Avenue, London PA/24/01755

Demolition of the existing building and all structures on site and construction of two part four/part Ave storey buildings and a 23 storey tower providing up to 145 new residential dwellings (Class C3) and community floorspace (Class F2), the provision of disabled car parking spaces, cycle parking, refuse storage, mechanical plant and associated hard and soft landscaping, including upgrade works to the existing playground on Hawthorn Avenue. Listed Building Consent for internal alterations at ground floor level including the reinstatement of the central spine wall, creation of single door opening and installation of new partitions and the removal and replacement of modern partitions and the creation of a new single door opening at lower ground floor level.
