The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 21 November 2024 quoting the reference number. All views expressed regarding a planning application will be considered and placed on a file, which is open to the public.

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 13 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
I GIVE NOTICE THAT Secretary of State for Defence is applying to Wiltshire Council for planning permission (PL/2024/08953) for The construction of a new High Temperature Treatment Facility (HTTF) for the treatment of waste with associated infrastructure consisting of: a pump house; above-ground sprinkler tanks; a transformer; a secondary gas kiosk; a briefing hut; road and access alterations; a car park; landscaping and Biodiversity Net Gain proposals at MoD Porton Down, Portway, Idmiston, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP4 0JQ and that the application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. Members of the public may inspect copies of the application, the plans, the environmental statement and other documents submitted with the application on the Wiltshire Council website, www.wiltshire.gov.uk. You may also use the computers in your local library to access the council's website. Should members of the public wish to obtain CD copies of the Environmental Statement, they are invited to make direct contact with the applicant's agent Mr Tim Hammond, 2Colmore Square, 38 Colmore Circus, Queensway, Birmingham, United Kingdom, B4 6BN, Tel: 07810817179, Email: tim.hammond@jacobs.com, who shall advise of the cost associated to providing copies, so long as stocks last.
