What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated.

Application No: ZA24/26375/FUL Proposal: Proposed change of use of existing commercial building to form 4 no. apartments Use Class C3 for Reddy Rooms Ltd Location: 99 Shortbank Road Skipton BD23 2JP Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/26372/FUL Proposal: Replacement of existing roofing, north lights and rainwater goods and installation of photovoltaic panels and wall cladding including erection of new external racking including part demolition of structures for Fryers Location: Firth Street Works Skipton BD23 2PX Reasons: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area. Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/26411/HH Proposal: Solar PV panels on existing roof for Mr James MacRae Location: 9 Gainsborough Court Skipton BD23 1QG Reason: Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/26414/LBC Proposal: Proposed recovering of full roof structure with the addition of thermal insulation and replacement of windows throughout with double glazed heritage casement units for Amos Nelson Ltd Location: Old Gledstone West Marton BD23 3JR Reason: Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/26105/FUL Proposal: Change of use and conversion of barn and shippon to form additional accommodation to adjoining dwelling including demolition of agricultural storage buildings to shippon. Demolition and re-build of rear garage store. New car port. Change of use of agricultural land to residential curtilage. New stable block within agricultural field to the east of the property for Mr & Mrs Kilburn Location: Old Field High Bentham LA2 7DL Reason: Would affect the route of a public right of way.

The applications are available to view and for comment online at publicaccess.cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications/ or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 21st November 2024. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet.
