What is planned?

PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION PUBLIC EVENT

The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 and The Town and Country Planning (Pre-Application Consultation) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021.
Proposal: Installation of 49.9MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and associated infrastructure.
Site Location: Land at Middleton Farm, Potterton, Aberdeenshire, AB23 8US
A drop in event is being held for the purposes of community consultation for this development proposal. The in-person event will take place on Monday 11th November at Potterton Community Centre, Laingseat Road, Potterton, AB23 8UE between the hours of 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
In addition to the in-person event, there is a project website where information can be obtained and feedback given. The web address is www.middletonfarmesf.co.uk. You are also able to make comments on the proposal directly to the developer at this stage, either at the above event and or in writing to info@gscapital.uk. The deadline for comments is Friday 22nd November 2024.
Please note at this stage any comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the planning authority and if the prospective applicant submits an application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to Aberdeenshire Council when the planning application for the proposal is submitted.
