THE CITY COUNCIL OF BRISTOL PUBLIC FOOTPATH, BCC/5(PT) & BCC/18 AVONMOUTH, BRISTOL
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER (NO 3) 2024
On 24 October 2024, Bristol City Council confirmed the above order.
The effect of the order as confirmed will be to divert that part of public footpath BCC/5 (PT) running FROM grid reference 353506 179116 (nr the corner of the sewage works), in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 58 metres to grid reference 353471 179071, then in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 290 metres (adjacent the Mere Bank Drain) to grid reference 353279 179279 TO the diverted route commencing at the said grid reference 353506 179116, then running in a south easterly direction for approx. 8 metres to grid reference 353511 179110, then in a south westerly direction for approx. 19 metres to grid reference 353498 179096, then in a south westerly direction for approx. 4 metres to grid reference 353495 179094, then in a south easterly direction for approx. 26 metres to grid reference 353512 179075, then in a south westerly direction for approx. 33 metres to grid reference 353489 179051, then in a generally south easterly direction (adjacent the Mere Bank Drain) for approx. 160 metres to grid reference 353597 178932 then in a south westerly direction for approx. 15 metres to grid reference 353585 178921.
AND to divert public footpath BCC/18 running FROM grid reference 353279 179279 in a generally south westerly direction to grid reference 353128 179109 (at Kings Weston Lane) for a total distance of approximately 225 metres TO the diverted route commencing at the said grid reference 353585 178921, then running in a generally north westerly direction for approx. 128 metres (running adjacent to Mere Bank Drain) to grid reference 353499 179015, then in a generally south westerly direction (along the field boundary) for approximately 240 metres to grid reference 353309 178869 (being the boundary with Kings Weston Lane), then in a north westerly direction for approx. 58 metres (running adjacent to Kings Weston Lane) to grid reference 353272 178914, then in a generally north easterly direction for approx. 18 metres to grid reference 353283 178928, then in a generally north westerly direction for approx. 18 metres to grid reference 353270 178939, then in a generally south westerly direction for approx. 21 metres to grid reference 353253 178927, being its junction with Kings Weston Lane as shown on the order map and to modify the definitive map and statement.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Bristol City Council, City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be purchased there at a price of £1 or may be sent by second class post on receipt of a written request, at a price of £6 to cover the Council’s administrative costs or by request to the e-mail address below.
This order comes into force on the date on which Bristol City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, that person may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
