What is planned?

(PEEBLES ROAD, INNERLEITHEN) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Peebles Road, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 3 November 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 07:00 and 10:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water iron work repairs. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Peebles Road, Innerleithen from Traquair Road westwards for a distance of 40 metres. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A72, B7088, B7062 and B709 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
