Appeal by BDW Trading

Site Address: Land Off Barnet Lane And Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Proposal: Outline planning application for the erection of up to 220 dwellings, including 50% affordable housing, self-build/custom-build plots, green infrastructure (including public open space, play area, landscape planting and sustainable drainage systems), ecological enhancements to Woodcock Hill Village Green, new multimodal vehicular access from Furzehill Road, emergency, pedestrian and cycle access from Carrington Avenue, and associated works and development. (Outline Application to include Access, with all other matters reserved).

The Inquiry will open on Tuesday 5th November 2024 and will take place at Elstree Film Studios, Shenley Road, Borehamwood, Herts WD61JG.

Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector's discretion, express their views.

Please be advised, following discussions between the Council and the appellant (but subject to final agreement from the Planning Inspectorate) that the red line application site boundary has been amended to exclude a small area of land extending to 0.22ha in the south west corner of the application site as it falls outside the ownership of the appellants. Updated drawings have been produced to reflect the change to the site boundary and these can be found on the Council's website with further explanation provided in the agreed Planning Statement of Common Ground. Any previous representations will be taken into account and the amendments do not change the location or number of homes proposed.
