What is planned?

The North Yorkshire Council, Public Path Diversion Order, Town & Country Planning Act 1990 Section 257, Public Footpath 05.39/51/1 Sutton-In-Craven, Sutton-In-Craven Diversion Order 2024

On 11/10/24 the North Yorkshire Council confirmed the above Order without modifications. The effect of the Order will be to divert the existing Footpath number 05.39/51/1 which commences at Grid Reference SE 0094 4432 (Point A) & proceeds north westwards for approximately 20 metres to Grid Reference SE 0093 4433 (Point B) then continues generally north westwards for approximately 35 metres to Grid Reference SE 0091 4436 (Point C) & then continues west for approximately 5 metres to Grid Reference SE 0090 4436 (Point D). The newly diverted Footpath number 05.39/51/1 commences at Grid Reference SE 0094 4432 (Point A) & proceeds south westwards for approximately 20 metres to Grid Reference SE 0092 4431 (Point E) & continues north westwards for approximately 52 metres to Grid Reference SE 0090 4436 (Point D). The Footpath surface shall be tarmac. A copy of the confirmed order & the order map has been placed & may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in reception at County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton DL7 8AD. Copies of the order & map may be purchased at a reasonable cost. This Order comes into force on the date on which the North Yorkshire Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the Order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, they may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which the Notice is first published as required by Paragraph 8 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
