What is planned?

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 OF TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 AND UNDER THE PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

KCC/CA/0143/2024 – Proposed development at Westmeads Community Infant School, Cromwell Road, Whitstable, Kent CT5 1NA.

KCC Deputy Chief Executives Department is applying to Kent County Council Planning Applications Group for planning permission for the Proposed replacement of the remaining single glazed vertically sliding double hung timber frame sash windows along the East facing elevation overlooking Cromwell Road. The windows are to be replaced with UPVC double glazed units to match the style and material of those already replaced.

The proposed development is within the Whitstable Town Conservation Area and is likely to affect its character and/or appearance, and also could affect the setting of listed buildings.

We accept comments within 21 days from the date of this notice (14 November 2024). Please quote the application reference number (KCC/CA/0143/2024) and note that comments may be drawn to the attention of Council Members, the applicant and other interested persons and may include publishing on the Borough Council website.
