PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS & CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990
PART II (CONSERVATION AREAS) – SECTIONS 69 (DESIGNATION) & 71 (GENERAL DUTIES) NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Under the powers of the said Act the following changes are being proposed to the Newland Park Conservation Area:

• Adoption of a new Character Appraisal and Management Plan.

• Additions to the Hull Local Heritage List

• Proposed boundary amendments – removal of areas of Chanterlands Avenue, Cottingham Road & Mansfield Court.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) ORDER 2015 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Under the powers of the said Act the following Article 4 (a requirement for planning permission) proposals are being made:

• “Hard Standings” – Class F of Part One of Schedule 2 – Development consisting of — the provision within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse of a hard surface for any purpose incidental to the enjoyment of the dwellinghouse as such, where between the principal elevation of a dwelling house and a highway. The Article 4 will affect the full Newland Park Conservation Area as amended by the 2024 Re-Survey of the Heritage Asset. Full details of the proposed changes and how to provide feedback can be made by:

1. Visiting the Council website & completing an online Survey – https://yoursay.hull.gov.uk/newland-park-conservation-area

2. Attending a drop-in consultation session: Thursday 31 October 2024 - 4.00 - 7.00 pm – The Eliot room, Canham Turner (1st floor), Hull University (Cottingham Road).

3. In writing by:

a. Letter – Stephen Walker, Principal Conservation Officer, Planning Services, Hull City Council, Guildhall, Lowgate, HU1 2AA

b. E-mail – Dev.Control@hullcc.gov.uk

A copy of the consultation document will be available to view at Hull Guildhall Reception.

Consultation will take place between 21 October and 29 November 2024.
