What is planned?

Guildford Borough Council

The Local Planning Authority has received the following applications for a Major Development, a Development Affecting a Listed Building, a Building in a Conservation Area, Historic Park & Garden or a Departure. These applications may be viewed online at www.guildford.gov.uk or at Millmead House during normal office hours. Representations should be made in writing within 21 days of the publication date of this notice to Director of Planning and Regeneration, Planning Services, Guildford.

24/P/00797 & 24/P/00798 8 The Valley, Guildford Planning and Listed Building Consent for the installation of a heat pump.

24/P/01393 Cranmere, The Avenue, Worplesdon Proposed Garage extension with raise to ridge and associated roof alterations to improve the first floor layout.

24/P/01403 1 Postford Mill Cottages, Mill Lane, Chilworth, Erection of a ground floor garden room extension with an open porch with alterations following demolition of existing porch/entrance hall.

24/P/01405 6 Castle Street, Guildford Listed Building Consent for the repair of the existing windows.

24/P/01431 2 Wellers Court, Shere The proposal is for a velux loft conversion to include a master bedroom, a study and a bathroom to the property.

24/P/01437 18 Fort Road, Guildford Application under Section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to vary condition 2 (approved drawings) to make changes to approved drawings of planning permission

23/P/00776, approved on 23/06/2023 for the extension works and internal alteration to a Grade II Listed building including:

1. reinstatement of the original loggia, balcony and balustrade to the rear south elevation, following the evidence of historic images;

2. repair and reinforce the garden walls and paths, the lower and double staircase;

3. reinstate the garden house, following the evidence of historic images;

4. creation of a new side entrance into the historic pantry;

5. re-arrangement of the former kitchen and service areas by re-instating partitions to the former kitchen;

6. remove the south wall of the former scullery and coal store and form a terrace outside (as permitted with previous applications 10/P/00578 and 13/P/00861) ;

7. demolition and rebuilding of the 1914 garage;

8. formation of a swimming pool at the east end of the terrace with facilities underground - previously permitted (10/P/00578);

9. removal of 5 x low value lime trees at the rear;

10. installation of 24 surface mounted PV panels at the rear.

24/P/01438 Turret House, 1 Jenner Road, Guildford Application under Section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to vary condition 24 (Restriction of use Class B1(a)) To enable prospective new leasehold tenants to lawfully occupy the premises of planning permission 10/P/01725, approved on 25/11/2010 for the conversion and refurbishment of existing redundant office building with addition of three storey extension fronting Epsom Road to provide twelve residential apartments and the erection of a three storey office (Use Class B1) building fronting Jenner Road with basement parking for twenty cars. to permit Class E.

24/P/01468 Pilgrims Court, Sydenham Road, Guildford Change of use from Commercial, Business and Service (Class E) to Dwellinghouses (Class C3), comprising 1 x one-bed sit apartment, 4 x one-bed apartments and 3 x two bed apartments, including erection of two first floor rear balconies with changes to fenestration.
