What is planned?

Application reference #1224 dated 16/08/2024 has been received by the above Committee for approval of the following works to an exempt ecclesiastical building.

1. St Joseph (Church) - Brindle. Grade II (Listing Number: 1163334)
2. Works Proposed: Repairs to the slate roofs and rainwater goods including: Resetting of all ridge tiles; Replacement of any damaged slates with new matching slates where necessary; Check all gutters for leaks, seal all joints and apply coating of suitable waterproof compound inside; Check all rainwater pipes for leaks and make good as required; Paint all gutters and downwater spouts with appropriate paint in same colour as existing; Strip existing slates from leaking roof above robing room, replace underfelt and battens, re-use existing slates where possible and use new matching slates where necessary.
