Proposed Development on Land At Manor Farm, Ashford Road And Worple Road, Laleham And Land At Queen Mary Quarry, West Of Queen Mary Reservoir, Ashford Road, Laleham, Staines, Surrey
Brett Aggregates Ltd submitted an application (Ref: SP22/01006/ SCRVC/) to Surrey County Council on 11 July 2022 for Extraction of sand and gravel and restoration to landscaped lakes for nature conservation after-use at Manor Farm, Laleham and provision of a dedicated area on land at Manor Farm adjacent to Buckland School for nature conservation study; processing of the sand and gravel in the existing Queen Mary Quarry (QMQ) processing plant and retention of the processing plant for the duration of operations; erection of a concrete batching plant and an aggregate bagging plant within the existing QMQ aggregate processing and stockpiling areas; installation of a field conveyor for the transportation of mineral and use for the transportation of mineral from Manor Farm to the QMQ processing plant; and construction of a tunnel beneath the Ashford Road to accommodate a conveyor link between Manor Farm and QMQ for the transportation of mineral without compliance with Conditions 2, 11, 13, 25, 26, 27, 29, 33, 44 and 48 of planning permission ref: SP/2012/01132 dated 23 October 2015 so as to allow the site to be restored in accordance with a revised restoration plan.
The application is accompanied by an environmental statement which also relates to planning application SP23/00160/SC.
Further information in relation to the planning application and Environmental Statement (ES) not in response to a request under Regulation 22 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations 2011 has been submitted by the applicant comprising: Drawings EAI 7.1 (rev B), EIA 9.9 (rev B), EIA 10.2 (rev B), EIA 10.8 (rev B), EIA 11.1 (rev B), PA11 (rev B), PA12 (rev B), PA13 (rev B) and ST12377-SK1 (revised 22 July 2015); ES 2012/13 Appendices 6.3 (rev A), 6.4, 10.3a, 10.3b, 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6; letters dated 1 November 2013, 16 January 2014, 6 February 2014, 24 April 2014 and 28 November 2023; Emails dated 30 April 2014, 22 July 2015, 31 January 2023, 7 December 2023, 8 January 2024, and; ES Addendum for New Conveyor Route dated January 2023 in relation to application SP23/00160/SCC including Appendices 1(a), 1(b), 2 and Drawing PA1 (rev A); and for the March 2023 ES Addendum: Further Hydrogeological Assessment dated 20 March 2024 (SLR Consulting Ltd).
