What is planned?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONTINUATION OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES CONSENT

I give notice that Basell Polyolefins UK Limited is applying to Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council for the continuation of existing Hazardous Substances Consents relating to the storage and use of certain substances at Basell Polyolefins UK Limited, Carrington Site, Carrington, Urmston, Manchester, M31 4AJ.

The application is being made in accordance with The Planning (Hazardous Substances) Act 1990 and the Planning (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2015 as a result of proposed land lease changes between Basell Polyolefins UK Limited and Wain Estates (Carrington) Limited. There is no change to the substances and their quantities and storage locations. The hazardous substance authority will decide whether or not to grant the consent and, if so, on what conditions.

Members of the public may inspect a copy of the application at the premises of Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Trafford, Greater Manchester, M32 0TH during office hours until 11th November 2024. Anyone wishing to make representations about this application should write to Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Trafford, Greater Manchester, M32 0TH or email development.management@trafford.gov.uk by 11th November 2024.
