What is planned?

PUBLIC CONSULTATION PLANNING AND COMPULSORY PURCHASE ACT 2004 (AS AMENDED) TRAVELLER LOCAL PLAN (REGULATION 18 - PART 2) FOR ENFIELD

Notice is hereby given that the Council has published a Traveller Local Plan [Regulation 18 - Part 2).

Title of the Documents: Traveller Local Plan (Regulation 18 - Part 2)'

Purpose of the documents: This Draft Plan represents the next step in the plan-making process, (under Regulation 18 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 - as amended). This stage of the consultation includes proposed site allocations and draft policies designed to meet the identified needs of the Traveller communities in the Borough.

Subject matter and area of the development plan document

The purpose of the TLP is to set out local planning policies specifically relating to Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople, and once adopted will set out how the London Borough of Enfield will meet the future accommodation needs of the Traveller communities. This is likely to include the allocation of new sites and associated policies. It will also cover other related issues such as site location, size, type, tenure, management and design. The TLP will form part of the Development Plan for Enfield once adopted.

Period within which representations and responses need to be made:

The Draft Plan will be the subject of a 6-week period of formal public consultation from Monday 23 September 2024 to Monday 4 November 2024. Representations on these documents should be received no later than by 5pm Monday 4 November 2024.
