Proposed deregistration of common land at: MYNYDD LLANDEGAI COMMON (CL 106)

1. Notice is hereby given that Welsh Slate Limited has applied to the Welsh Ministers under section 16 of the Commons Act 2006 for land forming part of the abovementioned registered common land (the “release land”) to cease to be so registered.
2. The purpose of this application is to enable planning permission (reference: C22/0336/16/MW) for a small extension to Penrhyn Quarry in Bangor to be implemented as this quarry extension would extend into Mynydd Llandegai Common.
3. It is proposed that land (the “replacement land”) be registered as common land in place of the release land.
4. The release land is described in the First Schedule to this notice, and the replacement land is described in the Second Schedule. On the plan referred to in paragraph 5 below, the release land is shown edged red, the replacement land is shown edged light green, and the boundary of the common is shown edged in dark green.
5. A copy of the application form and plan showing the location of the lands can be inspected at Gwynedd Council, Cyngor Gwynedd Headquarters, Castle Street, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SE between the hours of 9am and 4pm weekdays (not public holidays) and Dyffryn Ogwen Community Library, Ffordd Coetmor, Bethesda, LL57 3DP on Monday between 2pm - 6pm, Tuesday 10am - 12pm, Thursday 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 5pm, Friday 2pm - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 12pm (the library is closed on Wednesday and Sunday) until the 1st day of November. It may also be viewed on-line via https://www.welshslate. com/news/common-land/. 6. Any objections or representations in respect of the proposed deregistration and exchange should be sent in writing ON or BEFORE that date to: Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW), Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ, or PEDW.Casework@gov.wales.
7. Letters sent to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) cannot be treated as confidential. They will be copied to the applicant and possibly to other interested parties.
FIRST SCHEDULE
(The release land)
The release land comprises approximately 58,520 m² of land which forms part of an area of common land known as Mynydd Llandegai Common (CL 106). The release land is located in an area that lies within the south western edge of Penrhyn Quarry, where there is an existing planning permission to extract slate, but only part of the area has currently been subject to excavation and is edged red on the plan referred to at paragraph 5 above.
SECOND SCHEDULE
(The replacement land)
The replacement land compromises approximately 58,652m² of mainly rough grazing land with areas of shrub and scattered small trees on the northern part. This area lies approximately 1.1km to the north east of the land to be released and is edged light green on the plan referred to in paragraph 5 above.
