COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AND NEW RIGHTS AT LAND ADJACENT TO ROSPER ROAD, IMMINGHAM
Notice is hereby given that on 16 September 2024 VPI Immingham LLP (incorporated in England and Wales with company number OC300980 whose registered office is at 4th Floor, Nova South, 160 Victoria Street, London SW1E 5LB) made the VPI Immingham LLP (Land at Rosper Road) Compulsory Purchase Order 2024 under section 10 of and paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 to the Electricity Act 1989. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise VPI Immingham LLP to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of carrying out the activities authorised by its generation licence under the Electricity Act 1989 and more particularly for purposes relating to the capturing of carbon dioxide emissions from the combined heat and power plant and ancillary or associated works and activities.
A copy of the order and of the accompanying map have been deposited at Immingham Library, Pelham Road, Immingham, DN40 1QF and may be seen during opening hours.

Any objection to the order must be made by e-mail to calum.haig@energysecurity.gov.uk Mr Calum Haig, Consent Manager, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, before 11.59pm on 18 October 2024 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interests in the land.
DESCRIPTION OF THE LAND
All that land edged red and shaded pink on the order map, namely land bounded by the VPI Immingham CHP plant to the north, Rosper Road to the east and the Brocklesby and Immingham Branch railway line to the south.
DESCRIPTION OF THE NEW RIGHTS
The following new rights are being sought over the land edged red and shaded blue on the order map:
The right for the acquiring authority and its licensees and those authorised by it at all times (a) to pass and re-pass with or without vehicles, plant and machinery over any road, way or path; (b) to install, retain, use, maintain, alter, replace and remove carbon capture, compression and transport equipment, plant and machinery (“Carbon Capture Plant”); (c) to install, retain, use, maintain, alter, replace and remove pipelines, cables, utilities and other services and connections (“the Connections”); (d) to pass any gas, water, steam, electricity, data, surface and storm water, sewage, telecommunications and other services through the Connections (e) of support for the Carbon Capture Plant and the Connections; (f) to prevent any works on or uses of the land which may interfere with or damage the Carbon Capture Plant or the Connections; and (g) to access buildings, plant and controls for purposes relating to the Carbon Capture Plant and the Connections.
