Annex A - SHED
Form of Notice for advertising your proposals THERFIELD HEATH
The Royston Tennis Club has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for retrospective consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Therfield Heath. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The existing equipment shed for the Royston Tennis Club located on Therfield Heath, has been replaced with a new Keter Newton 7x11ft Double Door Outdoor Apex Garden Storage Shed in brown ('the Replacement Shed'). The Replacement Shed was erected because the previously existing shed had come to the end of its useful life and needed replacing urgently for safety reasons. The application made is therefore for retrospective consent for the Replacement Shed.
The Replacement Shed will be permanent and is a direct replacement for the shed previously in existence and used by coaches at Royston Tennis Club to store tennis equipment when not in use. The Replacement shed is 2.5m high, 2.05m wide and has a depth of 3.3m. It sits on a base which is 3.7m deep, 2.64m wide. The external area is 7.2m2 and the internal area is 14m3. The Replacement Shed comprises of brown wood plastic composite (body) and polypropylene and acrylonitrile resin (windows) and thus has a domestic appearance. The Replacement Shed is located 3.8m from the outer boundary of the nearest tennis court. As it is a direct replacement for the previous equipment storage shed, the Replacement Shed retains the location of the original and will again be used to store equipment for the Royston Tennis Club.
