What is planned?
HERTSMERE BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 Planning Permission Accompanied by an Environmental Statement Is Sought For The Following:
24/1152/OUTEI/AK: Land East Of South Mimms Services, St Albans Road, South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Outline planning permission with all matters reserved (access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) for phased development of Data Centre (Use Class B8) comprising of up to 187,000 sqm GEA. Development to include ancillary offices, internal and external plant and equipment (including flues) and substation (external plant excluded from maximum floorspace). Provision of car parking; servicing areas; associated services (including waste, refuse, cycle storage, lighting); laying out building, routes and open spaces within the development. Development to include all associated works and operations including but not limited to: demolition; earthworks; provision of attenuation infrastructure, engineering operations. This application is for a phased development, each phase being an independent act of development, capable of coming forward in distinct and separable phases and/or plots in a severable way. Development shall be in accordance with the approved development parameters schedule and plans.

Under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 any comments you wish to make in relation to this planning application will be held on a statutory register, which will be available for inspection at the Council Offices. If an appeal is made against the refusal of a householder planning permission, which will be dealt with on the basis of written representations, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
