Gwaith Arfaethedig i Liniaru Llifogydd yn y lleoliadau canlynol:
Lôn Llanshay, Tref-y-clawdd (FAS Pontfaen) – Adeiladu ceuffos newydd ar draws Lôn Llanshay wedi’i gwblhau gyda strwythurau mewnfeydd ac allfeydd gwell. Adeiladu strwythur mewnfa newydd ar dir preifat a fydd yn gwella mewnlif y dwˆr i’r system geuffos bresennol ar Ffordd Llwydlo. Bydd y gwelliannau hyn yn lliniaru llifogydd mewnol sy’n digwydd yng Nghlos Pontfaen a llifogydd dwˆr wyneb ar Lôn Llanshay a Ffordd Llwydlo, Tref-y-clawdd. Cyfeirnod y Grid: 329480, 271965.
Felindre, Cwmdu (FAS Felindre) – Gwaith i gynnwys hydwythedd llifogydd eiddo gydag addasiadau i 12 eiddo gan gynnwys llifddorau, drysau a rhwystrau llifogydd a fydd yn lleihau’r tebygolrwydd o unrhyw lifogydd i’r eiddo yn y dyfodol. Cyfeirnod y Grid: 317804, 223290.
Plasnewedd – Newid a chynyddu maint dwy geuffos ar gwrs dwˆr Nant Llys a gosod draeniau y gellir eu diffodd ar y C2026 i ddiogelu’r pentref o’r dwyrain. Gosod byndiau a strwythurau pen-wal newydd ar dir ym Mhlasnewedd, argaeau sy’n gollwng a ffurfio pyllau cydbwyso mewn lleoliadau strategol ar ddau gwrs dwˆr dienw ym Mhlasnewedd a Bodenfoel a mân waith atgyweirio i rai nodweddion cwrs dwˆr presennol i ddiogelu rhag llifogydd o’r gogledd. Environmental Impact Assessment
(Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 2017
Proposed Flood Alleviation Works at the following locations:
Llanshay Lane, Knighton (Pontfaen FAS) – Construction of new culvert across Llanshay Lane complete with improved inlet and outlet structures. Construction of new inlet structure in private land which will improve the intake of water into the existing culvert system
on Ludlow Road. These improvements will mitigate against the internal flooding which occurs in Pontfaen Close and surface water flooding on Llanshay Lane and Ludlow Road, Knighton. Grid Reference: 329480, 271965.
Felindre, Cwmdu (Felindre FAS) – Works to include property flood resilience with
adapdations to 12 properties including flood gates, doors and barriers which will minnimise the likelihood of any future flooding to the properties. Grid Reference: 317804, 223290.
Plasnewedd – Replacement and upsizing of two culverts on Nant Llys watercourse and installing cut off drainage on the C2026 to protect the village from the east. Installing bunds and new headwall structures on land at Plasnewedd, leaky dams and forming balancing ponds at strategic locations on two un-named watercourses at Plasnewedd and Bodenfoel and minor repair to some existing watercourse features to give flood protection from the north. Grid Reference: 318706, 320648
The County Council considers the works will not have a significant effect on the environment therefore Environmental Statements in respect of the proposed works will not be prepared. The notice will be available at www.powys.gov.uk. The notice and drawings may also be examined during office hours at Neuadd Brycheiniog,
