What is planned?
HAWKWOOD WI NDFARM Public Exhibition
Wilson Renewables IV LLP are proposing to submit a planning application to South Lanarkshire Council for the installation and operation of a wind farm consisting of 5 wind turbines with maximum tip heights of up to 200 m and each with a generating capacity of 6.6 MW. The proposed wind farm will be located on land to the southern and eastern sides of Hawkwood Hill, approximately 1.23 km east of Dungavel and 6.11 km southwest of Strathaven.
Wilson Renewables IV LLP are holding a public exhibition event to introduce and discuss the above proposal with the local community and any other interested parties. Representatives of the Project Team will be on hand at the exhibition to answer any questions. Comment cards will also be made available for members of the public or interested stakeholders/third parties to provide written comments to Wilson Renewables IV LLP and the Project Team for further review.
The exhibition will be held on: Monday 30. September 2024 at Strathaven Hotel, Hamilton Rd, Strathaven, ML10 6SZ.
The exhibition will be open between 16:00 and 19:00, and will be undertaken in a drop-in session format.

All further comments / feedback on the proposals should be received no later than Monday 7. October 2024.
Please note that comments made to Wilson Renewables IV LLP are not representations to the Planning Authority. There will be a further opportunity to make formal representation to the Planning Authority following formal submission of the planning application.
