Medway Council as Local Planning Authority has received the following applications which are being advertised to ascertain the views of persons living near the sites and other interested parties. The
proposed developments relate to one or more of the following:
1. The site of the application is within/affecting the setting of a designated Conservation Area (Section 73) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;
2. The application relates to, or affects the setting of a Listed Building (Section 67) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;
3. The application is for a Major Development;
MC/24/1675 - Former Machine Shop 8, Maritime Way, Chatham Maritime, Chatham
Reason 2 - Listed building alterations for the repair and refurbishment of the existing Machine Shop 8 frame, followed by re-cladding it and Changing the Use of the property to a Padel Tennis Centre and restaurants fronting the adjacent docks.

Reason 2 - Listed building consent for the construction of a 172sqm, single storey extension to existing shopping centre. The works include altering an existing fire escape staircase.

Reason 2 Construction of a single storey extension to existing shopping centre. along with altering an existing fire escape staircase.
MC/24/1611 - 1 The Cottage, Foord Almshouses, Rochester, Medway
Reason 2 - Listed building consent for the removal of the partition wall between the existing kitchen and dining room to create open plan kitchen/diner in Wardens cottage. Replacement of clinker block partition wall between two bedrooms on first floor above with a timber stud partition wall to reduce load on floor.
MC/24/1652 - Wainscott Camp, Haven Street, Wainscott, Rochester
Reason 3 - Installation of new solar panels to the flat roofs of the barrack (building WT006).
MC/24/1619 - 392 High Street, Rochester, Medway, ME1 1DJ
Reason 1 Installation of a new kitchen extraction system
MC/24/1683 Dockside Outlet Centre, Unit 32-34, Maritime Way, Chatham Maritime, Chatham
Reason 2 - Listed Building consent for the subdivision of the existing large retail unit 32-34 and change of use of new sub-divided units B, C and D from Class E to Class E & Sui Generis (hot food takeaway) together with alterations to shop front and extension and seating area to northwest corner of unit.
MC/24/1613 - Ironmonger Yard, Rochester, Medway, ME1 1NG
Reason 3 - Residential-led mixed use development comprising of residential units (Class C3) and
Reason 1 - commercial/community floorspace (Classes E and F) together with vehicular access off High Street and Bardell Terrace, vehicle (including on site and on street spaces), cycle parking provision, private amenity space, landscaping, engineering works, public realm, and associated works.

Reason 2 Subdivision of the existing retail unit 32-34 and change of use of new sub-divided units B, C and D from Class E to Class E & Sui Generis (hot food takeaway) together with alterations to shop front and extension and seating area to northwest corner of unit.
