Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 –  Bridgehill Road, Newborough, Peterborough. Ref: 25-095

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bridgehill Road, Newborough, as lies between Werrington Bridge Road and Drain Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Drain Road, B1443 Thorney Road, Werrington Bridge Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/08/2024 and will continue until the overhead electricity upgrade works have been completed or until the 28/08/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs on the 29/08/2024 only. The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the various footpaths/cycle paths known as Cuckoos Hollow Footpaths-Various Approaches Schedule, Werrington, detailed in the schedule below:

The alternative routes for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order will be signed locally on site. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 26/08/2024 and will continue until the bridge deterioration repair and new installation works have been completed or until the 14/05/2025, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 –  Silver Hill. Ref: 25-123

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Silver Hill, as lies between Braymere Road and Lakeview Way. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Silver Hill, Hargate Way, The Serpentine, London Road, Hampton Avenue and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 27/08/2024 and will continue until the new inspection over existing storm drain works have been completed or until the 26/08/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 27/08/2024 and the 10/09/2024. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –  Swanspool – 2024.     Ref: 25-103

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycleway known as Swanspool, as lies between 28 and 29 Swanspool. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycleway. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Pendleton. The proposed Order will come into operation on 05/09/2024 and will continue until the linkbox replacement works have been completed or until the 04/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. The proposed order will come into force on the 05/09/2024 and will continue until the slurry seal surfacing works have been completed or until the 04/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Burghley Horse Trials Schedule, Peterborough. Temporary Prohibition and Restriction Order 2024. Ref: 25-113

NOTICE is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough (“the Council”) intends in not less than seven days to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Section 14(1)(a) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.

The Council is satisfied that traffic on these roads should be restricted or prohibited because of an event taking place near these roads.

The effect of the Order is to bring into the effect the prohibitions and restrictions in respect of the roads, or sections of roads, as described in the Order detailed in the below schedule. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order are detailed in the below schedule.

All diversion routes will be indicated by appropriate signage at relevant places along the roads or sections of roads affected.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent, at any time, access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or sections of roads, described in the Order, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, those roads.
