Notice of Confirmation of an Order

Stopping Up Order No.2 2021

On 30 July 2024 North Somerset Council confirmed the above Order, made under Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257 And Paragraph 1 Of Schedule 14. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to stop up that part of Public Footpath LA 21/34 in the Parish of Yatton within the District of North Somerset as described from point A (on the Order Map No. PPO 194) (grid ref. ST 42181 66664) at North End Road, running in a south, south westerly direction for approximately 9.5m to point B (grid ref. ST 42178 66655), as shown by a bold black line on the Order Map.

A copy can also be viewed at Yatton Library, 48 High Street, Yatton BS49 4HJ (opening times Mon-Tue and Thu 9.30am to 4.30pm (opens 10am on first Tuesday of the month), and Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm. The Order comes into force on 27 August 2024 but, if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 21 August 2024, make an application to the High Court.
