The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.18) Order 2024 “ authorising the stopping up of the whole of Drury Lane, in the City of Newcastle. This is to enable development as permitted by Newcastle City Council under reference 2021/1310/01/DET.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5026). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Newcastle City Council, Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 15 August 2024.
