NOTICE OF PLANNING PROPOSAL THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
What is planned?
Proposed Extension to the Consented Astley
Gorse Solar Farm (PAP/2021/0651) to include
ground mounted solar PV panels, ancillary
infrastructure and equipment, landscaping
and access arrangements on land at Nuthurst
Lane, Astley, Warwickshire, CV10 7QH.
AGE Solar are preparing to submit a planning
application to North Warwickshire Borough
Council for a solar farm which will form an
extension of the previously consented Astley
Gorse Solar Farm. This solar farm extension would
occupy land immediately north of the consented
scheme and will have an approximate generating
capacity of 30MW. This is the equivalent of creating
enough renewable energy to meet the annual
electricity needs of over 7,000 homes.
A public consultation event will take place on
Wednesday 4th September 2024 between
2pm – 7pm at Astley Reading Room, Astley,
CV10 7QD.
The event will provide an opportunity for you to
see our plans, learn more about our proposals and
meet the project team. We will also be providing a
progress update on the consented Astley Gorse
Solar Farm.
Alternatively, further information relating to
the proposed development can be sought
