ENVIRONMENT AGENCY
Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003) Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water AC Goatham and Son Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.


The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.


The application is to vary licence serial numbers SO/040/0001/043;
SO/040/0001/042; SO/040/0001/039; SO/040/0009/032 and 9/40/04/0036/GR which authorise the abstraction of water from underground chalk at Gibbens Farm, National Grid Reference (NGR) TQ 88438 60359 and Gwelo Farm, NGR TQ 85035 63811 near Sittingbourne; Mierscourt Farm, NGR TQ 81402 64612 near Gillingham; and Elmstone Court Farm, NGR TR 25997 60209 and Shrubbery Farm, NGR TR 31503 55843 near Sandwich, Kent.


The variation applied for is: to move the abstraction period to earlier in the year by up to two months and increase the annual volumes at Elmstone Court Farm to 39,448 cubic metres.
