NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 13 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION FOR THE WINNING AND WORKING OF MINERALS BY UNDERGROUND OPERATIONS
Proposed development at Brockham Wellsite, Land at Felton’s Farm, Old School Lane, Brockham, Betchworth, RH3 7AU.
I give notice that Angus Energy Weald Basin No.3 Limited is applying to Surrey County Council for planning permission for the re-injection of non-site derived produced water into Portland Sandstone beds to support hydrocarbon production at the Brockham wellsite.
For the avoidance of doubt, this application does not relate to the hydraulic fracturing of rock for shale gas.
The application may be viewed at https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/.
Any owner* of the land or tenant** who wishes to make representations about this application should submit comments online on the Council’s website or write to Surrey County Council, Planning Development Team, Quadrant Court, 35 Guildford Road, Woking, GU22 7QQ by 21st August 2024 (21 days from the anticipated date of the application).
* “owner” means a person having a freehold interest or a leasehold interest the unexpired term of which is not less than 7 years, or, in the case of development consisting of the winning or working of minerals, a person entitled to an interest in a mineral in the land (other than oil, gas, coal, gold or silver).
** “tenant” means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprised in the land.
